Festival Special 2: Halloween Party

Japan celebrates halloween like crazy. You know why? Coz it's a good excuse to cosplay! XD

Daim invited me to his language school's halloween party. His school consists of foreigners learning Japanese, and Japanese people learning English. With a party having both types, you can "exchange language and culture" among each other. Another name for it: Flirting!

At the very last minute, we had nothing scary to wear, so we just bought cheap simple masks at Don-kihote, a super duper has-it-all store.

I'd say the mask fits me well, don'tcha think? :) And the Japanese do know it's Jason, so they kept on calling me that haha.

"Hajimemashite. Jason desu. Yoroshiku." *starts chainsaw*

This devil's name is Hitomi, a new sensei who just moved from Osaka. I did my Azumanga Daioh classic "Nan de ya nen?" after slapping her tummy, and she was totally amazed! XD

I rarely go to this kind of party, but it was fun. Just randomly go to any crowd (must be selective of coz *wink*) and talk crap! Nice!

We love our masks a lot. Mine even glows in the dark! There was this Japanese dude (in the 2nd pic) who kept saying my mask fitted me like a charm. "Your eyes are very expressive", he said. Of course he was a bit drunk, but that's not the point!

Daim's school has a language exchange partner system, where you and your partner exchange culture outside of school activities. If you're lucky, you can exchange "other types of languages" as well *ahem* He's now trying to hook up with one of the above girls for that. All the best wei!

Then we had a VERY PURPLE magician performing card tricks for us. Oooooh I love magic! It was really amazing, and the girl on the extreme right kept on jumping up and down after each trick and shouting "SUUUUUGGOOOOOO~III".

He can't beat Cyril Takayama though :) His magic just blows my mind away.

And that's all for Halloween! Look out for two more festival posts, coming up!
