Sunny Day in Tokyo
Greetings again from Tokyo! For you guys who are waiting for the farewell pictures, I actually left a few of the pictures in my Sony Ericsson phone, which is now with my mom :S So once the pictures are sent to me, I'll post them up right away. Matte kudasai ne!
^ It's been really great weather in Tokyo lately. Sunny days with temperatures around 18 to 24 degrees celsius. Saikou! So I thought I'd do some great service for you guys and take pictures of my daily commute ;) All using my new J-phone. Ah~ a phone with a good camera... love it.
^ We have to take two train lines from my apartment to the school, Keio and Yamanote. The Keio line actually gives out the weekly schedule of local (stops at every station) and rapid trains on a nice piece of paper, which is with me at all times. Dzaid and I usually strategize to take the rapid train to school, so the commute takes around 20 minutes.
As you already know, trains here arrive on the dot, you can actually set your watch based on when the train arrives! Unlike some other city~ lalalala...
^ And this is our last stop, Yoyogi Station. Yoyogi is actually quite the student area, with a bunch of music and art schools. But there's also a business center nearby. Comes with a nice park too! Quite a cozy place.
^ Near the path to our school, there's a railway cross. I used to live in Kajang, so I've grown up with this familiar sight. There's something I love about railway crosses and trains that I can't put my finger into, but I'm sure anime has helped a lot for that!
^ Just before we get to school, we cross the road and walk into a tunnel underneath the Yamanote train line. We turn left to our school, and turn right into Yoyogi park. Didn't have time to walk through the park yet. Daim said the park is very wide. One day!
^ In Tokyo, you have to stop in this exact circle before crossing the road. If not, the police will help round everyone up into this small spot.
If you fell for that, then you oughta fall for this as well: Japan Culture Lab.
Before I spend my lovely Japanese weekend, here's a shot that I'm especially proud of :3 A shot of the train moving above the tunnel.
I LOVE MY PHONE!!! <3
